Way Tangent are a five-piece modern rock british guitar band influenced by the song-writing and intricacy of Radiohead, the power and rock of the Foo Fighters, the alternative feel and vocal harmonies of Biffy Clyro and the hooks and ’sing alongability’ of the modern indie/pop scene!

Luke Rogers (vocals/songwriter) describes everyday events such as relationships with friends and family, unrequited/agape/love, the passion, anger and emotion that can be drawn from the annoyances of our modern culture; the dislike of pretentiousness, preordained judgements and buzz trends…however, with enough room to enjoy the simple things life brings!

Individually, the band - Luke (vocals), Conrad (lead guitar), Tom (drums), Steve (guitar) and Dan (bass) hails form Bognor Regis, Chichester, Canterbury, Shropshire and Worcester. Meeting at the Brighton Institute Of Modern Music (BIMM) in early 2007, they soon developed into a close nit unit writing songs and honing their sound.

Since then, they have performed at The Concorde 2, The Great Escape Festival and opened the Saturday of the inaugural Beachdown Festival.

With this has come recognition on local radio stations, Juice FM and Radio Reverb. Nationally, they have come to the attention of Loz from Kerrang! Radio with plays on his Sunday evening ‘Unsigned Show’.

The band released their debut single ‘Everyone Knows One’ on South Coast Sounds on the 30th of March 2009. The single will be available to buy on iTunes  as well as a bonus track ‘Give Us A Break’.
